Maruti Suzuki has named Partho Banerjee as the new head of sales and marketing, succeeding Shashank Srivastava

A recent regulatory filing from Maruti Suzuki indicates significant leadership changes within the company. Partho Banerjee will assume the role of Head of Marketing and Sales effective April 1, 2024, replacing Shashank Srivastava in this position. Srivastava, the former head of the department, will now join the company’s executive committee.

With an impressive 34-year tenure at Maruti Suzuki, Banerjee began his career there and has worked across various departments, including production engineering, sales, and marketing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.

In addition to Banerjee’s appointment, Ram Suresh Akella will take on the role of Head of Service. Akella boasts over 31 years of experience with Maruti Suzuki and currently serves as an executive officer in the marketing vertical. Throughout his career, he has held key positions within the company, including Head of Network and Sales at the Arena channel and Head of Commercial Business for the South region.
