Conceptual Pictures Worldwide Pvt. Ltd.has named Abir Panchanan Vice-President, Production & Sales, Pumpkin Production, its full-service production house.
Abir Panchanan will be responsible for leading Team Pumpkin and strengthening production and sales with additional oversight of its business division. To be based in Mumbai ,he will report to Ramji Ravindran, Founder & CEO of Conceptual Pictures Worldwide Pvt. Ltd.
Welcoming Abir to the team, Ramji Ravindran, said, “Abir will reinforce our production business globally while we continue to navigate opportunities for our clients. Abir’s experience and passion for integrated business solutions will be of great value for Pumpkin and the clients we partner.”
Talking about his new role, Abir said, “This opportunity comes at a time when I was looking to undertake a fresh challenge. The timing couldn’t have been better. After meeting Ramji and Shilpi, things really fell into perspective since we shared a common vision for the company. I hope to carry this vision forward and take the company to newer and greater heights.”
Abir started his career as an independent video producer in the UK, where he worked on various ad campaigns and non-fiction shows. He moved to India in 2009 and joined TimesNow as a News Producer. “But the love for advertising was hard to let go”, says Abir. He soon transitioned from news to advertising by joining a production company as its production head. Abir also worked as an independent producer with several production studios. His last agency stint was with Fuel Content, the inhouse production arm of FCB Ulka.
