Aiming to reach out to 1.2 billion users, Cheil calls on Microsoft Word users to #ReduceTheMargin and help save our forests.

Cheil India has launched an initiative called #ReduceTheMargin, through which it seeks to cut back on paper wastage. Targeting the nearly 1.2 billion Microsoft users, it calls on users to download a widget from www.reducethemargin.com, which will ensure that the default setting of MS Word reduces the margins by 25% while printing. Cheil says the average office-goer uses close to 10,000 sheets of A4 paper a year for printing office memos and records.

Emmanuel Upputuru, CCO, Cheil India, said, “While the world is dealing with problems like gender equality, climate change and racism, there are still other important issues that need our attention and solutions. I am absolutely delighted to see #ReduceTheMargin come alive. An action so simple anyone can take, including Microsoft! This digital product comes straight out of our core principle of creativity plus technology.”
