Mastercard has appointed Dheeraj Raina as the Head of Integrated Marketing and Communications for Southeast Asia. In this new role, Raina is responsible for steering strategic marketing, partnerships, and activations across the 10 markets in the region. Additionally, he will be a part of Mastercard’s Southeast Asia Leadership Team.
Raina comes from Gentari, Petronas’ clean energy solutions subsidiary, where he served as the Chief Marketing and Strategic Communications Officer, leading initiatives in marketing, branding, and strategic communications. With over 18 years of marketing experience, Raina has held senior leadership positions at prominent global media agencies. Notably, he served as the CEO of Dentsu Malaysia and as the Managing Director of Mindshare Malaysia, overseeing overall business growth, collaborating with major clients, and managing diverse specialist teams.
His previous agency roles include Managing Director of Malaysia and Cambodia at digital media agency ADA and General Manager and Head of Strategy at Mindshare Malaysia. He was also previously named in Campaign Asia’s 40 under 40.
