For the second consecutive year, Kyoorius will host The One Club for Creativity’s Global Portfolio Night that will be held in Mumbai on 20 May 2020. The One Club confirms that 22 hosts in 23 cities will take part in this year’s annual Portfolio Night. Once Club is also looking out for participation by more agencies, schools, and creative organisations in other locations worldwide.
Hosts for confirmed cities so far are: Arnold (Boston), BETC (Paris), Brokaw (Cleveland), Cairo Ad School (Cairo), Círculo de Creativos (Buenos Aires), Clube Criativos de Portugal (Lisbon), DDB Colombia (Bogota), Dieste (Dallas), Dotwell (Shenzhen), Goodby Silverstein & Partners (San Francisco), GTB (Detroit), Happiness Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), i2mago (Guangzhou), Inbrax (Santiago), Lanfranco & Cordova (Lima), McGarrah Jessee (Austin), Publicis (Seattle), Serviceplan (Beijing), Team Dubai/B&W (Dubai), Tank (Montréal), and VMLY&R (London and New York).
The event includes Portfolio Night All-Stars Competition, where each city host identifies young creative talent with top-shot portfolio in their market. These nominated All-Stars from around the world would then be flown to New York for a week-long sojourn to work as a team on a creative brief for a major global brand.
Widely recognised as the world’s largest advertising portfolio review programme, Portfolio Night is typically a racy and stimulating evening of mentorship, networking, and recruitment that takes place in scores of cities across the world on the same date.
Launched in 2003, Portfolio Night has been held in 70 cities across 45 countries, where close to 9,750 portfolios have been reviewed by some of the top creative minds of the world.
Portfolio Night is a marquee event in advertising as it allows bright young talent to enter the industry through mentorship and networking with some of the finest international creative directors.
The event is also an open arena for agencies to spot and recruit young talent while giving agencies themselves a space on the global stage and an opportunity for recognition from local industry peers.
“Portfolio Night is a unique global event that serves as a high-visibility opportunity for agencies and creative directors to give back to the industry by guiding the earliest steps of future copywriters, art directors, designers, and technologists,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, The One Club for Creativity. “We are very grateful to Kyoorius for again hosting this important global event and look forward to hearing from other agencies and organisations who want to host Portfolio Night in their local market,” Swanpoel added.
Tickets for young creative talent interested in attending Portfolio Night 2020 in various cities will be available in April.
The programme branding for Portfolio Night 2020 has been put together by Alec Tear, with 3D modelling and rendering by Louise Tattershall, both well-known designers at the London-based creative house Jones Knowles Ritchie.
