Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved has appointed Anita Nayyar as COO- Media & Communications. Nayyar joins Patanjali from ZEE5 India where she was the Head of Customer Strategy and Relationships.
Nayyar is Ex Zee5, Ex-CEO Havas Media Group India & SEA and a Senior Media, Marketing & Advertising professional with a proven record of organisational growth. Her core expertise lies in turning around and growing businesses with a positive EBITA. She is skilled in Digital Marketing, Digital & Marketing Strategy, Media planning & investments and carries Extensive experience in Brand building, Brand success, Innovation, Driving best in class ROI for marketers and brands. She has successfully driven consumer focused marketing strategies utilising all forms of media- digital & traditional for numerous brands across categories-FMCG, Automobile, Telecom, BFSI, Media & Entertainment, Consumer Durables, E-commerce, PSU’s, Government.
Nayyar is experienced in launching & working in many markets in South East Asia and have played leadership roles in advertising & media agencies – Ogilvy, Lintas-Initiative Media, Mediacom, Mudra, Starcom, Havas Media Group and grown them by giving shape to business, revenue streams, launching diversified disciplines (OOH, Digital, Events, Sports, Entertainment). She has worked with publishers to head customer strategy at The Times Group & recently, Head Customer Strategy & Relationships at ZEE5
She has been an avid Speaker, Panelist & Moderator at various local & international industry forums, my views & perspective is much sought after in the industry. Nayyar have been Jury & Chair for many prestigious industry awards and the only one from India to Chair the D&AD media awards at London and judge at Media Jury, Cannes.
Detailing about her achievements, she has been awarded with many accolades throughout her career. She has been featured on the list of Top 50 women in media, marketing & advertising for more than 7 years. Adjusted the APAC CEO of the year and APAC Vision leader in 2018 & 2019. She was also the National President-Digital Media Council for India at WICCI
Prior to joining Patanjali, Nayyar was Head of Customer Strategy and Relationships at ZEE5, where she was responsible to help build the agency-partner eco-system for ZEE5 India Business. Prior to ZEE5 India, Nayyar was with Havas Media India as CEO of India and Southeast Asia. She spent 13 years before quitting the organisation in February 2020. She joined Havas in 2007 as CEO of Havas Media Group for India and South Asia.
