OTIS Hits the Right Note as Canva’s Exclusive Music Partner, Debuts ‘Put Imagination To Work’ Campaign

After two years of shaping the soundtrack to Canva’s biggest creative moments, music and sound collective OTIS has been named the sole music provider for the global visual communication platform’s brand campaigns and owned events.

The announcement follows a partnership that began in June 2023, which has seen OTIS build a complete sonic identity and guidelines, score the last five of Canva’s brand campaigns and produce the audio and music components of their live events. The studio’s work has become a key part of Canva’s storytelling, adding emotional depth and a distinctive sonic signature.

The first campaign under the new exclusive agreement is Put Imagination To Work – a vivid celebration of everyday work heroes whose creativity transforms into tangible success when they pair their imaginations with Canva’s creative tools. Crafted by OTIS, each character’s journey bursts into life with its own empowering soundtrack, the moment their imagination is unlocked.

“We’re truly grateful to have built such a meaningful relationship with so many of the talented teams at Canva,” said Camille Yaptinchay, Executive Producer at OTIS. “For us, it’s a dream to work with clients who bring thoughtful, inspiring briefs and also understand the importance of music and sound as fundamental to their brand”.

“Music adds the emotion and energy that makes campaigns memorable, and OTIS does this brilliantly. With this partnership, people won’t just see our brand, they’ll feel it,” said Cat Van Der Werff, Executive Creative Director at Canva.

About OTIS: OTIS is a music composition and sound design collective. We create what you hear, to shape what you feel. We believe silence is an object, not a void. It is not a space to be filled, but rather an object to be shaped. To ignore it is to leave an obstruction that keeps us removed and at a distance. It’s considered arrangement uncovers levels of intimacy. Resonance and connection that can only be perceived and received through the sense of sound.
