Kapil Grover, Chief Marketing Officer

Burger King, an American multinational chain of hamburger fast food restaurants has promoted Kapil Grover as its chief marketing officer India. Kapil Grover who joined Burger King (BK) India as its chief digital officer in November 2020 has now helmed the role of its chief marketing officer. Grover takes over from Srinivas Adapa who, as per his LinkedIn profile, moved on in April 2021. It’s a second innings at BK India for Grover. He was its CMO from July 2016 to June 2018 before joining Domino’s India as its chief marketer in July 2018 until October 2020

Grover has over two decades of brand building experience across diverse categories such as QSR (Domino’s, Burger King, YUM! Restaurants – KFC), FMCG (Luxor – Parker), Alcobev (Radico – Magic Moments Vodka). He started off his career journey as Management Trainee at Luxos Writing Instrument Pvt. Ltd. later on was promoted to assistant manager marketing and then to product manager. As a product manager he revitalised the PILOT portfolio with ATL communication, contemporary packaging and renewed merchandising efforts. Sales doubled over the next 2 quarters and re-branded the kids range as Luxor JUNIOR with refreshed product line, packaging and school activations.

He then moved to Radico Khaitan Limited, where he handles several roles as marketing service manager, brand manager, category manager and AGM- Marketing. As an AGM, he launched the first semi-premium grain based vodka – Magic Moments with disruptive pricing and packaging innovation and also achieved 70 percent share in the segment. He also spearheaded the technology sourcing and investment project for setting up a first of its kind glass bottle printing facility in India. Later on he moved to Yum Restaurants International, where he led several roles as senior brand manager, marketing manager, head activation- KFC, director activation- KFC.
