Havas Introduces Fresh Identity in Malaysia and Bolsters Team with Empowered Female Leaders

Aligned with the overarching theme of ‘One Havas,’ Havas Immerse Malaysia has officially rebranded as Havas Malaysia. Guided by CEO Nizwani Shahar, Havas Malaysia aims to redefine industry standards through a bold, dynamic, and innovative approach. The strategic rebranding underscores Havas Malaysia’s commitment to adaptability, growth, and an enhanced focus on delivering outstanding services to clients.

In conjunction with this transformation, Havas Malaysia has strategically expanded its team, not only to reinforce capabilities but also to champion women’s leadership. The integration of talented female leaders has not only fortified the agency but has also played a pivotal role in securing significant new business wins, including Applecrumby, F&N 100 Plus, and 1664 social—all achieved within the initial 90 days of their inclusion in the team.

Bowie Tiong has been appointed as Business Director for the agency, bringing over a decade of experience from her previous role as the brand lead for prominent FMCG clients at Ogilvy. Reporting directly to Nizwani Shahar, Bowie will spearhead the development of business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and explore avenues for new revenue streams.

Wendy Tan joins the team at C-Cube Studios, Havas Malaysia’s highly effective content studio and adaptation team as Associate Account Director.

Taking the creative helm as Creative Director is Shireen Ang, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in crafting award-winning campaigns. Shireen, recognized for her contributions to prestigious awards such as the Cannes Lion, D&AD, One Show, Spikes, and more, will report directly to Donevan Chew, Chief Creative Officer for Havas Malaysia.

Supporting the creative team and reporting into Shireen Ang and Donevan Chew are Kharlal Nisha, who has joined as the Associate Creative Director, along with Yeo Lee Kee and Michelle Chong as the Creative Group Heads, Jass Sin Lee as Senior Art Director, Joanna Mak as Art Director, and Ain Nabilah Baharudin as Senior Copywriter. Lau Suet Ling has joined as Medical Writer for the Havas, Health & You practice.

Our transformation into Havas Malaysia signifies a strategic shift towards a future defined by innovation, inclusivity, and excellence,” said Shahar.

“We are proud to have assembled a powerhouse team of women leaders and build a diverse agency that bring unique perspectives and unparalleled expertise to the forefront. This marks the beginning of a new era for our agency, and we are poised to set new standards in the industry.”
