Avigna Group has inaugurated a ₹150 crore logistics park in Kochi, marking a major boost to Kerala’s industrial ambitions. Spanning 21.35 acres with 5 lakh sq. ft. built-up area, it will create 1,500 direct jobs. Global players like Amazon and Flipkart have begun operations, reinforcing Kerala’s growing logistics prominence.

In a significant boost to Kerala’s growing investment landscape, Avigna Group has inaugurated its state-of-the-art logistics park in Kochi — a project that symbolizes the state’s steady march toward becoming a major logistics and industrial hub in South India.
Built with an investment of ₹150 crore, the new facility marks a milestone not only for Avigna Group but also for Kerala’s broader economic vision. Sprawled across 21.35 acres, the park offers a built-up area of 5 lakh square feet, equipped with advanced warehousing, transportation, and handling systems that adhere to global standards. It stands as a testament to how infrastructure development and strategic investments can converge to redefine regional growth.
“This initiative is part of Kerala’s broader vision to transform itself into a logistics hub connecting industries, ports, and markets through seamless infrastructure and policy support,” said P. Rajeev, Minister for Law, Industries and Coir, while inaugurating the facility. “The project strengthens investor confidence and showcases the state’s ability to deliver high-value industrial ecosystems.”
The new park is expected to generate direct employment for around 1,500 people and create over 250 indirect job opportunities, giving a much-needed boost to the local economy. Beyond employment, its impact is set to ripple across small and medium enterprises, local transport operators, and allied services that form the backbone of Kerala’s logistics sector.
Situated strategically to leverage Kochi’s connectivity through ports, highways, and rail networks, Avigna’s facility aims to facilitate faster movement of goods and more efficient supply chains across South India. This aligns with Kerala’s logistics policy, which emphasizes strengthening its role as a gateway between domestic manufacturing hubs and global trade routes.
The presence of global giants such as Amazon, DP World, Flipkart, and Sony—already operational at the facility—further underscores the confidence of multinational corporations in Kerala’s industrial ecosystem. Their decision to set up operations here speaks volumes about the state’s evolving reputation for offering both opportunity and reliability to investors.
Avigna Group’s logistics park is more than a physical infrastructure—it represents the convergence of technology, policy, and entrepreneurship. With cutting-edge warehousing automation, integrated transport facilities, and sustainable design principles, the park is expected to serve as a model for future industrial developments across the region.
Industry observers see the move as part of a larger shift in Kerala’s economic narrative. Once perceived as a consumer-driven economy with limited industrial infrastructure, the state is now increasingly positioning itself as a manufacturing and logistics hub. The government’s proactive stance—through reforms, streamlined approvals, and investor-friendly policies—has played a crucial role in attracting large-scale projects like Avigna’s.
For Kochi, which has already established itself as a key maritime and IT centre, the addition of a world-class logistics facility is yet another step toward diversification and sustainable urban growth. The synergy between its port infrastructure and new-age industrial developments could make it a focal point for regional and global trade in the years ahead.
As Kerala continues to invest in connectivity projects, industrial corridors, and digital logistics systems, developments like Avigna’s are poised to become cornerstones of its economic transformation. Each such initiative sends a clear signal: Kerala is open for business, ready to compete, and committed to inclusive development.
With every milestone, the state inches closer to realizing its vision of becoming a logistics and industrial powerhouse — where global players, local enterprises, and the community together script a new chapter of progress.
Minister P. Rajeev summed it up aptly: “This project is more than infrastructure—it is a promise of growth, jobs, and opportunities. It is a reflection of the new Kerala that stands ready to connect with the world.”
