AMUL EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH ARGENTINA FOOTBALL TEAM TO WORLD CUP 2026

Amul has extended its partnership with the Argentina Football Association as the Official Regional Sponsor for the 4th consecutive year, covering the period leading up to and during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, launching special products and fan merchandise.

Amul, the Indian dairy giant, has extended its partnership with the Argentina Football Association (AFA) for another season as the team’s regional sponsor. This marks the fourth consecutive year of association between Amul and the Argentina national football team, making Amul the first-ever Indian regional sponsor in the history of Argentine football.

The renewed agreement will cover the period leading up to and during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. AFA President Claudio Fabiรกn Tapia expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “With great enthusiasm we announce today the extension of AMUL, a historic Indian company, and our first regional sponsor in India in this fourth consecutive extension”.

Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Amul, echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Just like football, Amul connects hearts across borders. We are proud to continue our partnership with the FIFA World Cup Champions 2022 Argentina Football Association as its Official Regional Sponsor, a team that inspires millions with its passion, skill, and spirit”.

This partnership is a testament to the growing popularity of football in India and Amul’s commitment to supporting the sport. The collaboration has led to the creation of special Amul products featuring Argentine national team players, along with exclusive fan merchandise, which will be available in India during the coming year.

Leandro Petersen, AFA’s Marketing Director, highlighted the strong results and fan engagement across multiple markets, including India, China, the Middle East, and the United States, as a key factor in the partnership’s renewal.

Amul’s partnership with AFA has been instrumental in increasing the team’s visibility in India, where football is gaining popularity. The Indian dairy giant’s association with Argentine football is expected to continue fueling excitement among fans as Argentina prepares for the 2026 World Cup.
