UM Australia has announced the promotion of Andrew Clift to the role of General Manager of its Sydney office. Previously Managing Partner, Cliftโs promotion recognises his decade-long contribution to the agency and his deep expertise across media, marketing, and communications.

CEO UM Australia, Anathea Ruys said Cliftโs promotion reflects UMโs commitment to nurturing talent and supporting growth from within, and she was delighted he has accepted the role and will continue to evolve his leadership journey at UM.
Ruys said: โPromoting from within is always a proud moment for UM, and Andrew is the right talent to lead our Sydney office into 2026 and beyond.
โHe is deeply immersed in the business and has an outstanding track record of delivering real value and impact for our clients. He will bring new energy and leadership to help our Sydney team continue to thrive.
Brining strategic insight to every client engagement, Clift has developed a reputation for delivering innovative, client-focused solutions across both digital and traditional channels. His career has seen him lead account management, media planning and buying, and client communications, giving him a holistic view of the business and its clients.

Clift has been at UM since 2016; his new role is effective immediately.
