SHOBHA MISHRA GHOSH TAKES HELM AS GE HEALTHCARE INDIA’S CHIEF ADVOCACY & POLICY ADVISOR

Shobha Mishra Ghosh brings 35+ years of public policy expertise to her new role, leading advocacy, policy, and stakeholder engagement for GE HealthCare India, shaping healthcare and MedTech sectors with her vast experience and global thought leadership.

Shobha Mishra Ghosh has taken on a new challenge as the Chief Advocacy & Policy Advisor, India & South Asia at GE HealthCare India, where she will lead advocacy, public policy, state-level initiatives, and stakeholder engagement across the region. With a wealth of experience spanning over 35 years in public policy, government affairs, and regulatory leadership, Shobha is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the healthcare and MedTech sectors.

Prior to her current role, Shobha served as Director & Head – Government Affairs & Policy at GE HealthCare, where she drove strategic engagement with the Government of India, State Governments, and international stakeholders, including US lawmakers, to strengthen policy frameworks for the healthcare and MedTech sectors. Her expertise in navigating complex policy landscapes has been instrumental in shaping the industry’s growth trajectory.

Shobha’s impressive career also includes senior leadership roles at FICCI, where she served as Assistant Secretary General, spearheading national-level advocacy across MedTech, Pharma, Public Health, Health Insurance, Education, and Skill Development. Her contributions have been pivotal in shaping key reforms, including the National Health Policy, Medical Devices Rules (2017), National Digital Health Blueprint, and National Education Policy (2020).

In addition to her role at GE HealthCare India, Shobha is a Principal Partner at InSigh8 Collective and has served on several esteemed boards and committees, including NABH (QCI), IRDAI, NMDPC, EPCMD, and academic boards of Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Delhi University. She has represented India at global forums such as the World Bank, OECD, UNESCO, and BRICS, showcasing her expertise and thought leadership on the global stage.
