Samir Singh from Unilever Appointed as EVP – Marketing, APAC at Colgate-Palmolive

Samir Singh, currently serving as Chair of Unilever Asia and Head of the Unilever Singapore Hub, is set to join Colgate-Palmolive as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Marketing for the Asia-Pacific division starting December 1, 2024. Singh, a seasoned marketing leader with a career spanning over two decades, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Unilever, where he held numerous strategic roles.

Singh began his journey with Hindustan Unilever as an Area Sales Manager, overseeing key markets in the Foods division, including the Delhi Metro region, Punjab, and Haryana. During this time, he played a pivotal role in increasing market share for the companyโ€™s Savoury and Oils portfolio and successfully integrated the Best Foods distribution system into Delhiโ€™s retail landscape.

As Unileverโ€™s Chief Marketing Officer for Personal Care, Singh spearheaded global marketing efforts for renowned brands like Axe/Lynx, Dove, Lifebuoy, Lux, Pepsodent, Rexona, Closeup, and more. His responsibilities included shaping marketing strategy, driving innovation, and leading communication and advertising across three major categories: skin cleansing, deodorants, and oral care.

Singh’s move to Colgate-Palmolive marks a significant transition in his career, as he steps into a critical role, overseeing marketing operations across one of the most dynamic regions for the global consumer goods giant. His appointment underscores Colgate-Palmoliveโ€™s commitment to bolstering its presence in the Asia-Pacific market, leveraging Singhโ€™s extensive experience in brand building, market strategy, and innovation.
