MobiKwik unfolds Pocket UPI Campaign featuring Jaideep Ahlawat

One MobiKwik Systems Ltd., India’s leading digital wallet platform, has rolled out a dynamic multi-media campaign for its latest offering—Pocket UPI. Designed to redefine the way users transact digitally, Pocket UPI positions itself as a smarter, more secure alternative to traditional UPI services by removing the need for direct bank account linking, while offering a host of enhanced features.

At the heart of the campaign is acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who brings his signature intensity and charisma to the role—reprising his much-loved cop persona. Through a series of witty and relatable digital films, Ahlawat walks viewers through everyday financial situations, using humor and a no-nonsense attitude to highlight the ease, safety, and flexibility of using Pocket UPI.

The campaign seeks to connect with a new generation of users who value convenience, control, and innovation in digital payments—making Pocket UPI not just a payment option, but a lifestyle upgrade.

While digital payments in India continue to surge, users often face a host of challenges in managing UPI transactions spread across multiple apps and bank accounts. Common pain points include cluttered bank statements, heightened security concerns, difficulty tracking expenses, and occasional payment delays—issues that can diminish the convenience digital payments promise.

MobiKwik’s new campaign tackles these problems head-on with a series of humorous and relatable creatives across digital and social media platforms. Each film highlights real-life payment scenarios where traditional UPI falls short—and showcases how Pocket UPI offers a smarter, streamlined alternative.

With Pocket UPI, users can conduct UPI transactions without linking their primary bank accounts, significantly minimizing the risk of fraud. This setup also helps keep bank statements clean by routing transactions through a preloaded Pocket UPI balance, offering greater clarity and financial hygiene.

The product empowers users with better control over monthly spending—allowing them to load a chosen amount into their Pocket UPI and spend only what they intend to. Additionally, Pocket UPI enables faster, PIN-less transactions, removing friction from everyday payments.

Through this campaign, MobiKwik not only spotlights the practical advantages of Pocket UPI but also positions it as a secure, efficient, and user-first solution in India’s evolving digital payments landscape.

The campaign launched with a teaser posted by Ahlawat on his Instagram account on May 16, 2025, creating intrigue around how his cop character would tackle digital payment complications and saw tongue-in-cheek engagement by many celebs.

The first film launched today showcases how small daily transactions can lead to cluttered bank statements, positioning Pocket UPI as the solution for maintaining cleaner financial records. Upcoming films will showcase secure enhanced security, PIN-less payments & improved budgeting control and will be released soon on the company’s and actor’s social platforms.
