Merlee Jayme, Dentsu’s APAC Creative Chief Departs After Six Years

Merlee Jayme, affectionately known as the โ€œChairmomโ€ ever since she founded her agency back in 2005 has announced she will be leaving Dentsu after working at the agency for six years. In 2016, dentsu acquired her agency Jayme Syfu agency.ย After joining the network she was tasked with co-running the newly formed dentsu McGarrybowen as Global Co-President with John Dupuis in 2020.

She wasย later promotedย to Chief Creative Officer in Asia Pacific. For ย the past two years, she has held the additional global role as Global Co-President of denstuMB.

โ€œPeople who know me well describe me as restless and relentlessโ€, said Jayme. โ€œI am a results-driven person. Whenever I feel Iโ€™ve accomplished something or have achieved a goal, my gut tells me to move onโ€ she added.

โ€œDuring these years at dentsu, balancing between building a business and creating life-changing work was tough. But we managed to stay focused, attract great people and clients plus more importantly, create a reputation for work that made a big difference in peopleโ€™s lives and the world.โ€

Global Chief Creative Officer Fred Levron added, โ€œIt has been a joy to get to know Merlee and witness her bring her magical blend of entrepreneurialism, creativity and empathy to the table every day.โ€
