IKEA India has named Patrik Antoni as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 2025. Under the company’s “One IKEA India” vision, Antoni will lead an integrated retail and operations strategy, working closely with the country retail manager and Chief Sustainability Officer to reinforce IKEA’s leadership in the Indian market.

Antoni brings deep familiarity with the Indian business landscape, having previously served as Deputy CEO and played a pivotal role in launching IKEA’s first store in Hyderabad. His return marks a full-circle moment in IKEA India’s journey. Most recently, he held the position of General Manager for IKEA Russia, where he oversaw the brand’s operations across the region.
With his blend of local insight and global experience, Antoni is set to guide IKEA India into its next phase of sustainable and customer-centric growth.
“I am honored and excited to return to India, a market that holds a special place in my heart and in my career. I am looking forward to build on the strong foundation that the team has laid and the many opportunities that lie ahead. India is a truly unique market with immense potential for growth”, said Antoni.
The leadership transition comes as Susanne Pulverer, current country retail manager and CSO, prepares to exit IKEA. Pulverer’s journey with the brand spans 28 years, including over eight years in India across three separate stints, during which she played a pivotal role in driving commercial expansion and transformation.
“I am very grateful for the incredible years at IKEA with many leadership learnings and with unforgettable experiences in India, this beautiful country with its beautiful people. While now handing over to a new leadership, I am excited to start a new chapter in my life,” said Pulverer.
