Edelman has announced the appointment of Christiane Schulz as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Asia Pacific, effective April 1st. In her new role, Schulz will report directly to APAC CEO Rakesh Thukral and will be responsible for driving operational excellence, business expansion, and strategic growth across the region.
Schulz brings a wealth of leadership experience, having served as CEO of Edelman Germany since 2019, where she successfully strengthened the firm’s market position, expanded client relationships, and drove revenue growth. Prior to Edelman, she led Weber Shandwick Germany as CEO for six years, demonstrating her expertise in team leadership, client engagement, and business transformation.
Commenting on the appointment, Thukral emphasized Schulz’s deep experience in leading high-performing teams and fostering strong client partnerships, both of which are key to Edelman’s continued expansion and impact in the APAC region.
This leadership transition follows a series of strategic shifts within Edelman, including Delicia Tan’s expanded role as CEO for Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as Julia Wei’s recent departure. Schulz’s appointment underscores Edelman’s commitment to strengthening its regional leadership and driving long-term growth across Asia Pacific.
