The festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims all around the world to mark the end of a month-long fast observed from sunrise to dawn during the holy month of Ramadan. During this month, Prophet Muhammad is said to have received the first revelation of the Holy Quran. Eid-Ul-Fitr commemorates the completion of Ramadan fasting and the start of the Shawwal month.
