ARVIND KUMAR NO MORE

The Advertising Club Bangalore Executive Director, Arvind Kumar, passed away earlier today. A media veteran, Arvind had over 40 years of experience in organisations, such as Eenadu, The Times of India Group, UB Group, and Zee Television in various leadership positions.

Passionate about and devoted to the advertising fraternity, Arvind was instrumental in driving The Ad Club Bangalore’s initiative to integrate activities with all the leading Ad Clubs of the country, from Ad Club Mumbai to the Ad Clubs of South India. He worked closely with industry experts and  bodies for the benefit of the advertising and marketing fraternity.

Arvind has been one of the founding pillars of The Advertising Club Bangalore and was always part of the Managing Committee since 1985. In the past, he has served as Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Club for three terms.

As Executive Director, Arvind oversaw all activities of the Club, looking into new programmes and initiatives to help foster a world-class platform.

In a moving tribute to Arvind, The Ad Club President and Co-Founder and Chief Brand Architect, bloombox BRAND ENGINEERS, Laeeq Ali said: “Pillar. Lifeline. Humour sense. Child-like curiosity. Let’s do it. Selfless Service. Amazing Human Being. Loving and Loved. Big Bang. Ad Club Bangalore. Even if you didn’t know him, I am sure you will now understand, how much Arvind meant to all of us as well as the advertising universe. I just can’t get over his smile. Wherever you are, keep smiling Arvind. You will be missed. A lot.”

Arvind is survived by his wife, a retired banker, and two daughters who are settled abroad.
