ANA JAUREGUIZAR RUIZ-JARABO NAMED PRESIDENT OF L’ORÉAL SPAIN AND PORTUGAL

Veteran executive Ana Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo will become President of L’Oréal Spain and Portugal on July 1, 2026. After more than two decades with the beauty group, she brings deep international experience, strategic expertise, and a record of growth across consumer, luxury, and professional divisions, marking a pivotal phase for L’Oréal.

Ana Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo has been appointed President of L’Oréal Spain and Portugal, effective July 1, 2026, a move that crowns a long and wide-ranging career inside one of the world’s most influential beauty companies. The appointment signals continuity and ambition for L’Oréal in the Iberian market, where the group has steadily expanded its footprint across mass market, luxury, and professional beauty segments.

L’Oréal, widely regarded as the global leader in cosmetics, operates at the intersection of science, creativity, and consumer insight, with a portfolio that spans household names in consumer products, prestige brands in luxury beauty, and professional solutions for salons and dermatological care. Steering the Spain and Portugal business requires not only commercial acumen but also a deep understanding of brand equity, innovation cycles, and evolving consumer expectations. Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo’s track record places her among the most seasoned leaders to take on that challenge.

Currently serving as General Manager of the Consumer Products Division for Spain and Portugal, Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo has been responsible for some of the group’s most recognizable and competitive brands. In that role, she has overseen strategies aimed at accelerating growth, strengthening omnichannel distribution, and responding to rapid changes in consumer behavior, from digital engagement to sustainability-driven purchasing decisions. Her leadership in the division has been marked by a focus on integration, agility, and performance across both mature and emerging categories.

Her path to the presidency has been shaped by an international career that cuts across regions and divisions within L’Oréal. She joined the group in 2006 as Area Manager for Travel Retail Europe, a business that demands sharp coordination across markets, cultures, and retail environments. The role provided early exposure to the complexity of global operations and laid the groundwork for a career defined by mobility and cross-functional leadership.

From there, Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo moved into positions of increasing responsibility, including Commercial Development and Retail Manager for Travel Retail Worldwide. In that capacity, she worked at the crossroads of strategy and execution, contributing to the development of retail concepts and commercial models tailored to a fast-moving, highly international customer base. These experiences sharpened her ability to align brand vision with operational realities, a skill that has remained central throughout her career.

She later transitioned into the luxury segment, becoming General Manager for Lancôme, one of L’Oréal’s flagship prestige brands. Leading Lancôme required balancing heritage and innovation, maintaining global brand consistency while adapting to regional market dynamics. Her subsequent role as General Manager for Lancôme, Kiehl’s, and Clarisonic across the EMEA region further broadened her scope, placing her at the helm of diverse brands with distinct identities, consumer profiles, and growth trajectories.

Before assuming leadership of L’Oréal Luxe, Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo had already built a reputation as an executive capable of managing complexity and driving transformation. As General Manager of L’Oréal Luxe, she oversaw a portfolio synonymous with high-end beauty, navigating a competitive landscape shaped by digital disruption, shifting luxury codes, and rising consumer expectations around authenticity and sustainability. Her tenure in luxury strengthened her strategic perspective and reinforced her ability to lead large, multifaceted teams.

Her professional foundation extends beyond the beauty industry. Prior to joining L’Oréal, Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo worked at Monitor Deloitte as a Project Leader, where she developed expertise in strategy, organisational change, and business transformation. She began her career in banking at BNP Paribas, an experience that contributed financial rigour and analytical depth to her leadership profile. This blend of consulting, finance, and operational management has informed her approach to decision-making and long-term planning.

In the Iberian context, Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo has played a central role in driving growth and cohesion across divisions. Spain and Portugal represent a dynamic market characterised by strong local brands, demanding consumers, and rapid adoption of digital and social commerce. Under her leadership, the business has focused on innovation, talent development, and closer alignment with global sustainability commitments, while maintaining sensitivity to local market nuances.

Her appointment as President reflects both her long-standing impact within the group and L’Oréal’s confidence in internal leadership development. It also underscores the company’s emphasis on leaders who can combine strategic vision with operational excellence and who understand the importance of culture and people in sustaining performance.

As she prepares to take on the presidency in 2026, Jaureguizar Ruiz-Jarabo will be tasked with guiding L’Oréal Spain and Portugal through its next phase of transformation. With more than two decades of experience across geographies and divisions, she steps into the role with a deep understanding of the business and a clear mandate: to continue driving sustainable growth while reinforcing L’Oréal’s position as an innovation-driven beauty leader in the Iberian region.
