Tata Consumer Products Limited has appointed Sharat Verma as President – Packaged Beverages (India & South Asia, including Organic India), effective December 1, 2025. Verma, formerly Senior Vice President & General Manager at Procter & Gamble for India, Middle East & Africa, brings over 20 years of experience in brand and business leadership.

A major leadership transition is brewing at Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL), one of India’s leading FMCG companies. The company has announced the appointment of Sharat Verma as President – Packaged Beverages (India & South Asia, including Organic India), effective 1 December 2025.
This marks a significant addition to TCPL’s leadership bench, as Verma brings over two decades of experience from Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he most recently served as Senior Vice President & General Manager for the India, Middle East, and Africa regions. At P&G, Verma was instrumental in driving growth for the Fabric Care portfolio, successfully leading brands that became household names across emerging and developed markets.
At Tata Consumer Products, Verma will oversee a diverse portfolio that includes iconic beverage brands such as Tata Tea, Tetley, and Eight O’Clock Coffee, along with the Organic India brand, which has been expanding its footprint in health and wellness. His role will focus on strengthening the company’s packaged beverages division and accelerating its growth across India and South Asia, a region where tea and coffee consumption continue to evolve with changing lifestyles and premiumization trends.
Industry observers note that Verma’s appointment signals TCPL’s intent to build stronger synergies between its traditional beverage business and emerging health-conscious categories. His proven record in brand strategy, consumer insight, and operational excellence aligns well with TCPL’s transformation into a holistic consumer products powerhouse.
The move also comes as Tata Consumer Products continues to expand its footprint beyond beverages into foods and nutrition, aiming to position itself as a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods landscape.
With Sharat Verma at the helm of its packaged beverages business, TCPL appears poised to blend its heritage with innovation — crafting a new chapter in India’s evolving beverage story.
