UN CALLS ON CREATIVES TO CRAFT COVID-19 MESSAGING

“We are in an unprecedented situation and the normal rules no longer apply,” says UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The United Nations has put out a global creative brief to agencies and individuals to help create informative public health content that can be more engaging with the public while being more accessible and sharable in all media formats.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

“We are in an unprecedented situation and the normal rules no longer apply,” said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The creativity of the response must match the unique nature of the crisis and the magnitude of the response must match its scale.”

The brief calls for creative solutions that can reach audiences across languages, cultures, demographic groups, and geographies and will focus on six areas of activation in need of greater focus:

  1. Personal hygiene
  2. Social distancing
  3. Know the symptom
  4. Kindness contagion
  5. Myth-busting
  6. Do more
  7. Donate

Note: Those individuals or agencies interested to contribute to and get involved with the creative cause can read the open brief here, and access the assets here.
