Rochelle Chhaya appointed as CEO of Hearts & Science APAC

Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has elevated Rochelle Chhaya to the position of Chief Executive Officer for Hearts & Science APAC. A seasoned professional with over 14 years at OMG, Chhaya most recently served as CEO of OMG Thailand, where she spearheaded the agency’s growth and strategic initiatives.

In her new role, Chhaya will lead Hearts & Science’s operations across the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on driving innovation, expanding the agency’s presence, and reinforcing its commitment to delivering data-driven, consumer-centric marketing solutions. This appointment aligns with Hearts & Science’s ambitious vision to strengthen its foothold in APAC while building on the brand’s existing success.

Hearts & Science APAC has cultivated an impressive portfolio of global and regional clients, showcasing its expertise in media, technology, and strategy. The agency partners with globally renowned brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Popeye’s, Sanofi, Sony Pictures, Twinings Teas, and Versuni.

The agency also serves a diverse range of regional powerhouses, including Bank of New Zealand, Hoyts cinema chain, DBS Bank, Mamy Poko, Marigold, Rebisco, Hyphens Pharma, and Double Dragon Properties. This robust client base underscores Hearts & Science’s reputation as a trusted partner for brands navigating the complexities of a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Chhaya’s appointment comes at a time when APAC is emerging as a critical growth driver for global businesses. Under her leadership, Hearts & Science is poised to further refine its data-driven approach and innovative solutions to meet the unique demands of this diverse and dynamic market.

Named CEO of OMG Thailand in 2020, Chhaya led the group to three consecutive years of growth, with billings increasing 58% between 2020 and 2023 as reported by COMvergence. As COO of OMD APAC from 2018 to 2020, she scaled a client-centric, digitally-powered, and data-led agency model across the region. Joining OMG Thailand in 2014 as a Managing Partner for its digital practice, Chhaya helped establish OMG’s data and analytics division, Annalect, in the market.

As one of her first duties as APAC CEO, Chhaya will oversee the launch of Hearts & Science’s operations in Malaysia and Taiwan, scheduled for Q1 2025.

Chhaya’s appointment, reporting directly to Harradine, is effective immediately. Meanwhile, she will continue to oversee operations in Thailand, together with OMG Thailand COO Jinnarat Sampuntharat and the executive management team until her successor is named.
