Ogilvy has announced key leadership appointments that further strengthen its creative leadership across the EMEA region and the UK. André (Dedé) Laurentino, currently serving as Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Ogilvy UK, will transition into the role of Deputy CCO for Ogilvy EMEA. In this expanded capacity, he will collaborate closely with Dr. Stephan Vogel, Regional CCO for Ogilvy EMEA, to support creative initiatives across 50 offices spanning 35 countries. Alongside his new responsibilities, André will continue as the global creative lead for Nestlé, one of Ogilvy’s most valued and enduring clients.

Taking over the creative leadership of Ogilvy UK is Jules Chalkley, who assumes full oversight of the agency’s creative department as Chief Executive Creative Director. This transition follows a period of remarkable success for Ogilvy UK, which was ranked the #1 agency in the UK for the second consecutive year in WARC’s Creative 100, the definitive global benchmark for creative excellence. The agency also secured the title of the third-most awarded agency globally at D&AD for two consecutive years, reflecting its consistent impact on the industry.
Since joining Ogilvy UK in 2014 as Global Executive Creative Director for Unilever, André has played a pivotal role in elevating the agency’s creative profile. Appointed as CCO in 2018 and a key member of Ogilvy’s Worldwide Creative Council, he has helped drive some of the agency’s most celebrated campaigns, including the award-winning “Maaate” campaign for the Mayor of London, which secured two Grand Prix awards and the prestigious Grand Prix of all Grand Prix at The Drum Awards. His leadership has also fueled standout work for brands such as Jameson, Coca-Cola at the Olympics, Sipsmith, Relate, and more. Under his and Jules’ stewardship, Ogilvy UK has expanded its client portfolio, securing major brands like Molson Coors, Dulux, Pets at Home, and Valeo Foods.
André’s career is marked by an extraordinary ability to bridge art direction and copywriting. Originally from Brazil, he spent a decade as one of the country’s most awarded art directors before transitioning to copywriting in 2003, where he quickly gained equal recognition. His global career has earned him an impressive 43 Cannes Lions, alongside accolades from Clio, D&AD, and One Show.
Jules Chalkley, himself one of the most awarded creatives globally, steps into his new role at a time of strong creative momentum for Ogilvy UK. His tenure at the agency has been defined by a commitment to culturally resonant, high-impact work. Before joining Ogilvy, Jules was instrumental in shaping iconic campaigns for brands such as IKEA, Marks & Spencer, Land Rover, Virgin Atlantic, Missing Type, and Made in the Royal Navy. Now, as he leads Ogilvy UK’s creative vision, his wealth of experience will continue to push the agency’s work to new heights.
These leadership shifts reflect Ogilvy’s commitment to fostering world-class creativity, ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of innovation and effectiveness in the evolving advertising landscape.
Detailing about the latest development, Liz Taylor, global chief creative officer, Ogilvy, said, “Dedé and Jules are a brilliant creative force, and their partnership over the past several years has been instrumental to Ogilvy UK’s creative resurgence. Dedé’s global perspective and award-winning track record make him the perfect choice to partner with Stephan as he continues to drive our creative partnership with Nestlé. And Jules’ deep understanding of the UK market, coupled with his passion for creating work that truly connects with people, makes him the ideal leader to continue Ogilvy UK’s creative momentum. Nothing makes me happier than seeing both step into expanded roles within our network where they can truly expand their impact and influence.”
James Murphy, CEO, Ogilvy Group UK, “I’d like to thank Dedé for his incredible contribution to Ogilvy UK and I’m thrilled to be working more closely with Jules, whom I’ve known and admired for years. His leadership and creative vision will be invaluable as we continue to deliver impactful and effective work for our clients.”
Elated upon the elevation, Andre (Dedé) Laurentino, said, ” I’m beyond thrilled to join Stephan and Patou in leading EMEA, a region that has consistently delivered outstanding creative work for Ogilvy. It’s a dream come true. And to continue to work with Nestlé, and so many of their iconic brands, makes me see creative opportunities anywhere I look. Don’t pinch me, or I might wake up.”
Jules Chalkley, “Ogilvy is a global icon of creativity and London has an incredible new energy. To be a part of that and to lead one of the most creatively diverse communities in the UK and to drive our cultural relevance is a wonderful opportunity.”
