Ogilvy has announced a creative leadership shift, appointing Sujoy Roy and Nitin Srivastava as Chief Creative Officers for its Gurugram office. The transition follows the departure of Ritu Sharda, who had been at the helm of Ogilvy North’s creative operations since April 2019.

Nitin Srivastava: Where Art Meets Advertising
Srivastava’s creative philosophy is simple—there’s no line between work and art. A trained painter turned designer turned art director, he has spent over 25 years shaping brand identities that blend aesthetics with strategy.
An alumnus of Delhi College of Art and Central Saint Martins, London, Srivastava has been instrumental in crafting luxury and beauty narratives for brands like Coca-Cola, Absolut, Chivas, Jameson, MINI, The Park Hotels, Incredible India, and WWF. Over two decades, he has played a defining role in building Pernod Ricard’s alcobev brands into cultural icons. When not redefining creative boundaries, Srivastava finds inspiration in travel—and in Delhi, where he shares his space with his dog, February.
Sujoy Roy: A True Ogilvian at Heart
For Roy, this promotion is a full-circle moment in a journey that began two decades ago when he joined Ogilvy fresh out of college. Over the years, he has left an indelible mark across Ogilvy’s Mumbai, Kolkata, and Colombo offices, proving that creativity knows no borders.
Though officially a ‘Copywriter,’ Roy has never been confined to just words. With a diploma in fine arts, he seamlessly bridges the gap between art and copy, a talent that led him to establish the Ogilvy Design Cell—now a thriving force under his leadership. His deep connection to his roots has also shaped Ogilvy East’s growth, where his Bengali-language campaigns have resonated powerfully, demonstrating the true universality of impactful storytelling.
As Ogilvy Gurugram moves into a new creative era under their leadership, Roy and Srivastava are set to shape the agency’s future with a blend of artistic ingenuity, strategic storytelling, and a passion for boundary-pushing ideas.
Speaking about the latest development, Kainaz Karmakar, Harshad Rajadhyaksha and Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officers, Ogilvy India, said, “Sujoy and Nitin are Ogilvy stalwarts. Over the years both have created a stellar body of brave work that has helped grow business and reputation for their partners. Their benchmark-setting work across mediums has created impact and earned numerous recognitions locally and globally. But more importantly, it has also earned the love and admiration of our consumers and clients. We are thrilled to see our people step up and take on senior leadership roles. We believe the two of them, along with their partners will push the boundaries of work. Their individual love for design and ideas will come together to write a new chapter for Ogilvy Gurugram.”
Commenting on Sharda’s departure from the agency, an Ogilvy spokesperson said, “Ritu has been a great partner to us and has guided our Delhi office over the last 5 years to produce some stellar work. Late last year, she expressed her desire to move on and pursue other interests and opportunities. We are thankful for her partnership and wish her all the best for the future.”
