Nestlé India Announces Leadership Overhaul; Rajat Jain to Take on Key Role in Global Group

Rajat Jain, currently the head of NestlĂ© India’s Foods Business and leader of MAGGI in South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka), is set to take on a significant leadership position within the global NestlĂ© Group. Rupali Rattan will succeed him as the head of the Foods Business.

Gopichandar Jagatheesan will assume Rattan’s position as the head of the Chocolates and Confectionery Business, while Manav Sahni will lead NestlĂ©’s Dairy Business. All executives will be elevated to Senior Management Personnel, with the changes effective from January 1, 2025.

He has been instrumental in building MAGGI into one of the world’s top FMCG brands and a household favorite in India.

Rattan joined Nestlé in 2019, initially working in the Communications team to support core brands like MAGGI, NESCAFÉ, KITKAT, and MUNCH, before becoming Marketing Head for KITKAT. In 2021, she took over as the business executive officer for Chocolates and Confectionery.

Jagatheesan, who joined Nestlé in 2008, has held roles across the Supply Chain, Sales, Chilled Dairy, and Confectionery sectors, and took charge of the Dairy Business in March 2024.
