Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUVs: Redefining Performance and Design for a New Era

Mahindra to Unveil Game-Changing Electric SUVs XEV 9e and BE 6e on November 26

Mahindra is preparing to make a powerful statement in the electric vehicle (EV) market with the highly anticipated global debut of its all-electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, scheduled for November 26. These models represent a significant leap forward for the brand, as they will be the first to utilize Mahindra’s cutting-edge INGLO platform, developed exclusively for electric vehicles.

The XEV 9e and BE 6e are poised to make waves not just for their performance but also for their groundbreaking design. With coupe-inspired aesthetics, these SUVs boast a sleek and sporty appearance that sets them apart from traditional EV offerings. The design reflects Mahindra’s ambition to blend innovation and boldness, creating vehicles that cater to both functionality and visual appeal.

The new INGLO platform underpins Mahindra’s commitment to electrification, offering state-of-the-art features like advanced battery technology, enhanced safety systems, and superior driving dynamics. This foundation is expected to deliver an unmatched driving experience, aligning with global trends in sustainable mobility.

Mahindra’s twin SUV launch aims to challenge the competition in India’s rapidly growing EV segment while setting new benchmarks for design and technology. As the automotive industry shifts towards greener alternatives, the XEV 9e and BE 6e signal Mahindra’s readiness to lead the charge into a cleaner, more innovative future.

BE 6e and XEV 9e: Exterior

Mahindra has gone for a shock-and-awe design philosophy with the BE 6e and the XEV 9e. The BE 6e gets massive yet unique C-shaped LED DRLs pod-like LED headlights with a specially contoured aerodynamic clamshell bonnet, which resembles a sports car. From the side, it has a muscular road stance with a high shoulder line and bulging squarish wheel arches in a glossy black finish. The side panel also sports plenty of character lines. Unfortunately, the new video teaser doesn’t reveal the rear.

The XEV 9e has a more traditional SUV front fascia with a flat and squarish enclosed grille with a connected L-shaped LED DRL. The headlamps are cube-shaped and vertically stacked while the bonnet has flowing creases design. The BE 6e and the XEV 9e have a robust side profile with more prominent squarish wheel arches in front and an all-black window sill. The video reveals the XUV 9e’s rear design which sports connected LED tail lights with the Mahindra Electric logo below and the XEV 9e nameplate.

BE 6e and XEV 9e: What to expect?

There’s been a series of spy images of the Mahindra EV SUVs and the XEV 9e’s cabin is expected to come with three sets of displays — the driver’s instrument cluster, the infotainment system and the screen for the front passenger. The BE 6e, on the other hand, will get a twin digital display along with a two-spoke steering wheel with buttons like on a gaming control pad. Initially, both the SUV will be rear-wheel-drive but Mahindra could offer an all-wheel-drive version of the BE 6e later on.

No details about the battery packs have been revealed by the company, but it is believed there will be two options with a driving range of around 500 km on a single charge.
