Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board had participated in ITM (India Tourism Mart) held at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi from 16 to 18 September 2018. The focus was to showcase and revive the fast growing tourism sector of Madhya Pradesh.
The stall of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board was visited by top- notches, industry influencers, travel enthusiasts, corporate, business heads, travel operators and media professionals from different corners of the city to exchange views and opinions on Madhya Pradesh Tourism. Participation in Indian Tourism Mart (ITM) has provided tourism as an opportunity to showcase its beauty and versatility and educate tourist about the latest offering and world class tourism facilities by Madhya Pradesh Tourism.
As quoted by the officials of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board “Madhya Pradesh is centrally located so it is called the heart of incredible India. It is flourished with historic marvels, home of wildlife animals and warm hearted people. It is also called the tiger state of India. We expect major inbound tourist footfall mainly from UK. If you look at the statistics lot of international destinations like Switzerland, Singapore are now filled by India tourists. So if Indians are willing to go abroad and see the destinations of world why not explore our own country and not come to Madhya Pradesh. So we are having a balanced approach in all the sectors of tourism such as adventure, wildlife, heritage and many more.”

From being the state with the largest forest area and wildlife hotspots (10 National parks & 25 Wildlife sanctuaries), 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Monuments of Khajuraho, Cave shelters of Bhimbetka and the Stupas of Sanchi) to the Events like the Khajuraho Dance festival, Malwa Utsav, Tansen Festival, Allauddin Music fest (cultural and musical extravaganzas) the state has variety of products to offer to every single tourist choice. Madhya Pradesh is also an attractive destination for investment in tourism sector. The government has taken multiple initiatives to make the state a venture friendly destination. The state has good number of land parcels, heritage properties and land on lease which has been promoted by the state on various platforms in the recent past for the benefit of future developments and growth by Public Private Partnership in the state.
The forthcoming major events and exhibition in which Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will be participating are the Indian Travel Mart (ITM) Lucknow from 20th to 22nd September 2018 and Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Pune from 28th to 30th September 2018 with the objective to provide a platform to stakeholders for interactions with various sellers and international buyers. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is going to organize 2 major events in Bhopal in this year. First is Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart from 5th to 7th October and second is Adventure NEXT from 3-5 December. The mega event Adventure NEXT is organized by ATTA in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in association with ATOAI. This event is being organized first time in Asia and Madhya Pradesh has got this wonderful opportunity to host the entire event. ATTA has chosen Madhya Pradesh because of its adventure friendly destinations and great efforts of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to promote adventure Tourism of the state.
