Iraj Fraz Batla Joins DDB Mudra Group as Executive Creative Director

Iraj Fraz Batla has joined the DDB Mudra Group as the Executive Creative Director (ECD), DDB Mudra West. Operating from Mumbai, he will report to Rahul Mathew, National Creative Director (NCD), DDB Mudra Group, and will be responsible for driving the groupโ€™s creative mandate.

Welcoming him to the team, Rahul Mathew, National Creative Director, DDB Mudra Group, said, โ€œFraz fits right into the diverse talent mix that weโ€™re trying to create at the agency. His appointment reinforces the agencyโ€™s agenda of welcoming people with different capabilities and the ability to work seamlessly across functions. He has been groomed by the culture of large network agencies; been exposed to the digital forward markets of the middle-east and has learnt the ways of an entrepreneurial venture. Iโ€™m looking forward to see him use these influences to help brands, as they chart new journeys for themselves.โ€

Batla was Head of Creative Operations at Scarecrow. He has worked on brands like Airtel, Axe, Cathay Pacific, Coca-Cola, Dominos, Hanes, Lโ€™Orรฉal, Mountain Dew, Pepsodent, Pizza Hut and Reebok.

On his new role, Batla said, โ€œThe DDB network has been built on advertising that changed advertising. From Bill Bernbachโ€™s Volkswagen work like โ€˜Think Smallโ€™ to Avisโ€™ no. 2 strategy to DDB Mudraโ€™s โ€˜Project Free Periodโ€™ for Stayfree; the work has consistently reflected disciplined artistry and an honest point of view. I am here to use my energy in producing such work.โ€
