Infectious Advertising Appoints Former McCann Erickson ECD Akshay Kapnadak As New CCO

After nearly a decade as an independent creative, branding, and design consultant, and a 16-year tenure at McCann Erickson, Akshay Kapnadak has taken on the role of Chief Creative Officer (CCO) at Infectious Advertising. In this pivotal position, Kapnadak will collaborate closely with Ramanuj Shastry, Creative Chairman and Co-Founder of the agency, to elevate Infectious Advertising’s creative excellence to new heights.

Kapnadak brings with him over 27 years of extensive industry experience, marked by a stellar track record in building successful creative teams and crafting impactful campaigns for a wide range of global and Indian brands. His portfolio boasts work for international powerhouses such as Coca-Cola and L’Oréal, alongside iconic Indian names like Parachute, Pears, Radio Mirchi, and NDTV. His efforts have garnered prestigious accolades, including a Gold at Cannes Lions and recognition at The One Show.

Kapnadak’s contributions to the advertising world extend beyond his work, as he has served as a juror at renowned industry award platforms, including Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, AdFest Asia, and Goafest, reflecting his respected standing in the global creative community.

Kapnadak began his advertising career in 1998 as a trainee at McCann Erickson Mumbai, where he spent 16 transformative years. His progression through roles such as Creative Team Leader, Creative Director, and Senior Creative Director culminated in his appointment as Executive Creative Director. During his time at McCann, Kapnadak was instrumental in shaping campaigns that resonated with audiences and achieved widespread acclaim.

In his new role, Kapnadak is set to channel his vast expertise into driving creative innovation at Infectious Advertising. Partnering with Shastry, he will focus on crafting powerful campaigns, nurturing creative talent, and strengthening the agency’s reputation as a hub of groundbreaking ideas.
