Guillermo Vega Appointed Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy North America Ogilvy has announced the appointment of Guillermo Vega as its new Chief Creative Officer for North America, the agency confirmed to Adweek. Vega, a seasoned creative leader with a strong track record across global markets, will now spearhead the agency’s creative vision and output for its largest region.

Since 2022, Vega has been leading creative for The Coca-Cola Company across the WPP Open X network — a role that has seen him drive innovative, cross-platform campaigns under one of the world’s most iconic brands. His expanded mandate at Ogilvy will now include overseeing creative excellence across the agency’s full spectrum of capabilities and client portfolio throughout North America.
Vega steps into the position previously held by Rafa Rizuto, who is leaving Ogilvy after approximately 18 months in the role. According to Ogilvy’s Global Chief Creative Officer, Liz Taylor, Rizuto is departing to pursue “a new opportunity that will be announced in the coming days.”
In an internal note obtained by Adweek, Taylor expressed both gratitude and admiration for Rizuto’s tenure. “While we’re sad to see him go, we’re grateful for the impact he’s had during his time with us,” she wrote. “Rafa is an extraordinary talent and human being.”
Vega’s appointment marks a new chapter for Ogilvy North America, a region central to the agency’s global business and creative legacy. Known for his collaborative leadership and global perspective, Vega has previously held senior creative positions at some of the industry’s leading agencies, where he helped shape award-winning campaigns that bridged cultures and platforms.
As Ogilvy continues to evolve its creative offerings across advertising, digital experience, and brand transformation, Vega’s leadership is expected to reinforce the agency’s commitment to bold, culturally resonant storytelling.
His elevation also underscores Ogilvy’s strategy of integrating global talent and experience to deliver consistent creative excellence in a rapidly shifting marketing landscape. With Vega at the helm, Ogilvy North America aims to further strengthen its reputation as a creative powerhouse capable of inspiring both brands and audiences worldwide.
