Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia names Desmond Nikhil D’Souza as New Vice President of Customer & Commercial Leadership

Coca-Cola India Southwest Asia (INSWA) Operating Unit has appointed Desmond Nikhil D’Souza as the new Vice President of Customer & Commercial Leadership (C&CL), effective February 1, 2025. He will be succeeding Greishma Singh, who has recently moved to the position of Vice President, Marketing.

In his new role, Desmond will be responsible for leading the Customer & Commercial Leadership (C&CL) function across the INSWA region. His focus will be on driving value growth, enhancing the company’s customer partnerships, and aligning strategies to achieve long-term commercial transformation.

“With a distinguished track record of strategic vision and exemplary leadership in the FMCG industry, Desmond brings a wealth of experience and innovative ideas that align perfectly with our mission to drive customer satisfaction and commercial excellence. His understanding of market dynamics and customer engagement, will be a cornerstone in achieving our growth objectives,” said Sanket Ray, President, Coca-Cola India Southwest Asia.

Desmond joins Coca-Cola from Mondelez, where he held the position of Vice President of Sales. During his tenure, he led significant growth in Mondelez India through footprint expansion, digital innovation in sales, and the development of new commercial capabilities to fuel growth. Prior to his time at Mondelez, Desmond played key roles at PepsiCo, where he led transformation initiatives and sales operations. He also contributed to the customer subscription strategy at Zomato, further highlighting his expertise across multiple industries and functions.

Desmond holds a postgraduate degree in management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
