Cheil India names Sudhir Das as senior executive creative director

Cheil India, a leading advertising agency, has announced the appointment of Sudhir Das as Senior Executive Creative Director. In his new role, Sudhir will be responsible for overseeing the creative strategy and output for key segments of Samsung’s mobile business, as well as Samsung exclusive stores. His leadership will play a critical role in shaping the brand’s communication and enhancing its creative footprint in the highly competitive tech market.

Sudhir will report directly to Vikash Chemjong, Chief Creative Officer at Cheil India, and will operate from the agency’s Gurgaon office. His appointment is seen as a significant addition to the leadership team, given his extensive industry experience and track record of delivering impactful creative solutions.

With over two decades of experience in the advertising industry, Sudhir has worked with some of the most prominent agencies, including Publicis, McCann, Leo Burnett, and Dentsu WebChutney. Over the course of his career, he has earned nearly 100 national and international awards, reflecting his talent for creating memorable and effective campaigns. His most recent role was as Group Executive Creative Director at Dentsu Creative, where he played a key part in driving creative excellence across various high-profile projects.

Sudhir has an impressive portfolio, having worked with a wide range of iconic global and Indian brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Apple, Google, Airtel, LinkedIn, Tanishq, ITC, and Uber. His ability to craft compelling narratives and innovative ideas has made him a sought-after leader in the advertising world, and his expertise will undoubtedly contribute to Cheil India’s continued success.

Welcoming Sudhir to the table, Vikash Chemjong, CCO, Cheil India said, “Sudhir when you meet him, seems alike a misfit in advertising. He doesn’t drink! Is not trying to run off to the hills/beach every chance he gets because he hates travelling!
