Bata India taps Deepika Deepti as head of marketing

Bata India has announced the appointment of Deepika Deepti as its new Head of Marketing. Deepti brings over two decades of experience in marketing and business roles within leading footwear brands. Before joining Bata India, Deepti served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Metro Brands. She is renowned for introducing sneaker culture in India through her previous roles at adidas and CAMP SMA.

During her time at adidas, she significantly impacted business growth in India and Emerging markets, transforming the sneaker industry there through adidas Originals, Yeezy & Neo. As CEO at CAMP SMA, she led Bhaane, Veg Non Veg, and partnered with Nike India. At Metro Brands Ltd, as Senior VP of Marketing, she introduced the “Takes you to the new” campaign for metro shoes and drove cultural movements for Fitflop and Fila.
