Apurva Sircar, formerly Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing at Bandhan Bank, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Flying Man Ventures, a company founded by legendary tennis player Leander Paes. Sircar brings over two decades of rich experience across marketing, branding, and corporate communications, making him a strategic choice to lead the organization’s ambitious growth trajectory.
Sircar began his professional journey as a trainee at Showtime Events and has since held key roles across reputed organizations including Blow Past Industries, Heinz India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Birla Sun Life Insurance, and Ageas Federal Life Insurance. His illustrious career is marked by innovative brand strategies and impactful sports sponsorship initiatives, which have contributed to reshaping perceptions of the brands he has managed.
As Vice President and Head of Brand, Insights, Corporate Communications, and Digital Marketing at Ageas Federal Life Insurance, Sircar spearheaded a comprehensive sports sponsorship strategy that cemented the brand’s association with health and fitness. Notable achievements under his leadership included signing iconic sports personalities such as Leander Paes for one of the company’s marathons and Sachin Tendulkar for three others. He also played a pivotal role in partnering with Pullela Gopichand to support Indian badminton players on the global stage.
