“You taught me how to be a butterfly only to break my wings” – Für mich
Sina Niemeyer has been working as a photojournalist since 2014. She has won the Canon ProfiFoto Förderpreis 14/2 in 2014 and her work has been published in German magazines such as Stern Gesund Leben, Cicero, Spiegel Wissen and Chrismon.
Besides creating journalistic stories, she is continuously searching for new ways of storytelling. She is especially interested and fascinated by interdisciplinary projects that involve the protagonist, giving them a voice and from there on work on constructive solutions and push the boundaries of art and photojournalism.
Her project Für mich was published with Ceiba Editions in May 2018. It was there on chosen as the winner in “Therapeutic Photography” at Perugia Social Photo Fest, Italy and has been shown at Odesa Photo Days 2018.
