McCann Worldgroup Mumbai was named as “2018 India Agency of the Year” by Campaign Brief Asia. The publication, which cited the agency’s “dominant performance at award shows,” also ranked it No. 1 in its list of “India’s Hottest Agencies” and placed its creative leaders in the first four positions in its ranking of “India’s Hottest Creatives.”
“Under Prasoon Joshi’s leadership, McCann Worldgroup India has become not only the leading creative agency in India, but a top creative force in the Asia Pacific region and worldwide,” said Harris Diamond, Chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup, referring to the Indian agency’s CEO and Chief Creative Officer who is also Chairman of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific. “We’re very proud to see this level of honor both for the Mumbai agency itself and individually for so many of the talented creative leaders that Prasoon has built into a world-class team.”
Campaign Brief Asia’s Creative Agency of the Year honor is based on a point system reflecting results at the major creative awards shows. With a strong performance at such major shows as AdFest, the One Show, Clio, D&AD, the New York Festivals, among others, McCann Worldgroup Mumbai’s total points came to more than two-and-a half times the No. 2 ranked Indian agency.
CB Asia also noted that “After such a dominant creative performance, it’s no surprise that four McCann Worldgroup creatives fill the top four places in this year’s India’s Hottest Creatives table.” The No. 1 position went to Prateek Bhardwaj, the joint National Creative Director of McCann Worldgroup India. Of the 38 names listed overall in the “Hottest Creatives,” McCann creatives took 14 of the spots, or more than a third of the total.
